There’s hope, or at least hope that it may be possible, to overcome some of these limits. It’s rudimentary. How the brain is doing these things is not really understood. It should not really surprise us. For much simpler organisms it’s not really understood.
Very slight changes can lead to radical changes of state. Let’s imagine that happened. The rest of the system stayed essentially the same, but now it has █ ████████ ███████ ████████. What does it have to do? Well it has to be accessible to the sensory motor apparatus. Otherwise you wouldn’t even know you had it. In fact, maybe another organism does have it but doesn’t have access to it. Not likely. And it has to be accessible to the system of thought. And how good of a design is it?
